Boxing clever is a sporting term which has been in use for more than a century. A fighter who boxes clever is someone who matches their natural abilities and strengths with a disciplined long-term strategy and smart, adaptable tactics. They typically read their opponents well and can game out a fight over multiple rounds. A fighter who boxes clever is usually able to defeat an opponent who is bigger and stronger.

August 2020 to Present

Worked with UNICEF as a full time consultant, supporting storytelling and report writing. Played key role in World Children's Day "Reimagining The Future" campaign and drafted key content such as opinion pieces in national media. Supported the roll out of COVID-19 vaccines across Cambodia and worked on creative content.

March 2020 to Present

Wrote for blogs, websites and print about the pandemic's impact on individuals & businesses -  clients included NGOs, lawyers, medical & big tech firms. I wrote several accounts of life during COVID for UNICEF, the World Food Programme and the European Union. These have been shared and read by tens of thousands.

March 2021

Worked with arts and culture non-profit Phare on a fundraising event to save its life saving services. Suggested breaking a Guinness World Record by performing a 24 hour circus. This became the biggest event in COVID-era Cambodia, watched by half a million, raising triple its target & winning multiple awards.

August 2020 to Present

Although much of my work during the COVID era was with development agencies and non-profits, I also continued to copywrite and develop creative strategies for commercial clients including Microsoft, successful start ups, entertainment businesses, major telecoms players and law firms.


May 2020

Worked with ISF Cambodia on a creative approach to communicating COVID risks to children, in the form of a new sport called Social Distance Football. The video of the game was viewed 160,000 times and recieved coverage on four continents, as well as enormously increasing ISF's profile and winning awards.


May to November 2020

Joined launch team of a new therapy & wellbeing centre. Wrote and designed website & social media presence. The Beekeeper has already grown very successful, become profitable & received print and TV media attention. Continue to provide pro bono support on an ongoing basis and scripted an upcoming short film.
